Lake Pearl is quiet picturesque pond located mid way between Boston and Providence. Its one of Wrenthams three sizable lakes, rich with conservation lands and open spaces. Originally known as Whitings’ Pond, its history as a thriving dance hall and park soon gave way to its current use as a residential and recreational gem. Funded by the Sweatt Foundation and maintained by many local organizations like the Local Scout Group, Sweatt beach has that small town lakefront beach charm that is enjoyed by many of the surrounding towns.
The beach provides a perfect location to paddle and enjoy the picturesque beauty of the shore line. Eastern Mountain Sports provides Canoe and Kayak Rental, Kayak and Stand Up Paddle Classes and Tours for all to enjoy this great paddling destination. Come take advantage of one our great paddling opportunities and see why people rave about this little New England Gem.

Q: Do I need to make a reservation?
A: Reservations are not required during normal hours of operation. Rentals are first come first serve, so please come early to ensure the kayak you are looking for is available. If you have questions please call the Schools main office at 800-310-4504.
Q: I’ve never paddled before. Can I still rent a kayak?
A: Yes. Kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards are fun for any ability level! We do not place restrictions on rentals due to lack of experience. Kayak and paddleboard lessons are available on scheduled dates.
Q: What is the minimum age for renting or using a kayak?
A: There is no set minimum age to use our rentals. Children must be able to fit properly into our PFD’s (floation vests) and kids 17 or younger must have a parent or guardian present to sign a waiver form before renting a boat.
