From New York City take 87 north to exit 18 (NY-299) towards New York/ Poughkeepsie. Keep left at the fork, follow signs for NY-299 west. Turn left onto NY-299 west/ Main Street. Continue to follow NY-299 west through the village of New Paltz for about 7.5 miles until you reach route 44 & 55 (“T” intersection). The Climbing School is located across the street at the intersection of NY-299 and route 44/55.
Trailways of New York runs daily bus service between New York City and New Paltz. Drive time from NYC to New Platz is approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes. The bus station in New Paltz is about 10 minutes taxi drive to the EMS Climbing School. If you don’t have a car, this is a good option.

Will I get to the Climbing School by 8:30am? What if I’m late?
You may be a little late, but that’s okay. The bus usually arrives in New Paltz at 8:35am. If you are traveling by bus please let the Climbing School know ahead of time so they can plan for your arrival.
