Solid construction, many bells and whistles (i.e. straps and options to adjust) which I think once mastered by the user, will allow the pack to be worn very comfortably. First couple of times, it just didn't feel comfortable, but getting better. I'll agree with a previuous user who commented that the shoulder straps are a bit too easy for our kiddo to get free of...
Very handy and has lots of space. Great for those weekend day hikes with your little one.

We went to France with our 1 year old and were looking for a carrier that was practical & comfortable for both parent & child. This fit the bill perfectly. Our son loved being up high and able to see everything. It was easy to load him in and out, he was safe and secure with the shoulder straps and comfy seat. The best part was being able to carry stuff as well. The backpack part of this carrier is the best. Whether we were in the airport (used as our carry-on luggage) or on the streets of Paris we always had everything we needed on hand. The outer pack zips off too, so when we has the stroller, we had a portable diaper bag. My only "con" would be that I wished there were more comprehensive instructions on the best height, etc when adjusting the carrier based on child's size. The pack is easy to adjust; it would just be helpful to know that if your child is this tall, slide his seat to this position, etc. Other than that - we are VERY pleased with this purchase and have already recommended it to many.

The carrier needs a chest buckle for the baby. I have a 30 lbs son and he can wiggle himself out of his shoulder straps. When he is out, removing the pack is a challenge because if it leans to a side, he could fall out.
I would like to see an adjustment that brings the weight of the load closer to my torso, most hiking backpacks have this ability.
For a little more money you could buy a Sherpani or a Deuter.

It is a nice solid product. My daughter seems to enjoy hanging around in it.

Very nice product. Took sometime for my little hiker to get used to it but she did come around. Even makes going through the mall easier.

I purchased this product for travel, occassional hiking, and keeping baby happy around the house. I love the pack for around the house it is comfortable and allow me to hold her while cooking and doing other chores. I recently traveled with the pack and it was excellent for traveling through the airport (I put the car seat and bags in the stroller!) and walking around the sites. My daughter is 18 months (around 25 pounds) and fit very comfortably in the pack once I realized that the seat is adjustable. It is a little difficult to carry with the backpack loaded but definately manageable. The zip off child pack was also a convenient diaper bag once I got to my destination and didn't need the whole pack all of the time. Definately a great product, it seems well constructed and should last for many years and several children.
Finally, I previously had a frame carrier and this kelty child carrier pack is much easier to adjust and much more comfortable than the frame pack ever was (+ is has the additional storage)
My wife and I think this is a great product. The styling and features are great, and it is easy to adjust to both of our torsos.
Last weekend I put our 11 month old in the pack when I was raking leaves. It worked superbly! The little guy was snug and the pack was secure on my back, even while twisting, bending, and moving around. We can't wait to get out on the trails with him in this carrier!
