An alright day pack
By Alex from NJ on 8/4/2008
Pros:
Lightweight, Rugged, Spacious
Cons:
Poor Construction
Best Uses:
Bouldering, Outdoor, Sprint Climbs
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought this looking for a lightweight day pack. It is exactly what I got but the construction of the pack is somewhat to be desired. There is no waist strap. When bouldering or moving around quickly, the pack isnt held in place very well. That being said, if you just plan on leisurely walks in the woods, it wont matter that much. For a pack that is called "the scrambler daypack", scrambling is not always easy with this one.

absolute garbage
By some guy from nyc on 2/14/2008
Pros:
Lightweight
Cons:
Poor Construction
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought one last year. The bag might be light but the skinny straps hurt when the bag is filled. The front of the bag is a big mess and sometimes it's hard to unbuckle the clasp to the top of the bag. Right now it's just gathering dust in the basement.

Crazy light weight bag
By TSFVerified Purchaser from New Hampshire on 8/18/2007
Pros:
Lightweight, Pretty solid, Spacious
Cons:
Uncomfotable
Best Uses:
Day hiking, Peak bagging, Sprint Climbs, Stuff sack
Describe Yourself:
Through hiker in training
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It's awesome how light this bag is the price is great, the material seems to be pretty solid, it has plenty of space, and it can even be used as a stuff sack once you remove the frame sheet. The only problems I have with this pack is that it doesn't have an external pocket for a nalgene, but the biggest thing that i think can deter people from buying this bag is that the straps a frighteningly thin, but other than that its great especially for the price.

Great Ultra-Light Summit Pack
By JoeVerified Reviewer from Oxford, CT on 1/24/2007
Pros:
Lightweight, Rugged, Wear Resistant
Best Uses:
Summit runs
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This pack is unbelievable light and very well constructed. One thing I didn’t' get from the description is that it fits in it's own self contained stuff sack (once the thin foam back panel is removed). This bag is about compromises. It is designed to be very light at the cost of some comfort. I would prefer the shoulder straps to be a little beefier. A simple waist belt/strap would also be nice. But if those things were changed it wouldn't be as light. I would recommend this especially for the price.

Great pack for small trips.
By Hike and Climb.Verified Purchaser from Sardinia, Italy on 12/13/2006
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Pros:
Extremely light, Large Capacity
Cons:
Needs a waist belt
Best Uses:
Climbing, Day Trip, Hiking, Travel

Very good pack. It is supprisingly strong and durable. The bad side is the lack of padding on the shoulder straps, and when it is heavily loaded, it really needs a waist belt.
Overall, I really enjoy this pack and use it every day.

Super lightweight daypack
By BethVerified Reviewer from Auburn, CA on 10/5/2006
Pros:
High Quality

Super lightweight, but no outside pockets for easy water bottle access. Makes a great stuffsack for your sleepingbag on a backpacking trip.

Amazingly lightweight
By JayVerified Reviewer from Black Hills,SD on 10/4/2006
Pros:
Durable, Good Value, High Quality
Cons:
straps made thin
Best Uses:
day hiking

This pack is a nice pick up for the price for a day pack. It is very durable and went through a toss onto some boulders with no fabric tears. It can hold a hefty amount of weight inside--downside is the straps are thin and I can forsee them being the first to give out on the pack. Overall have taken it up 3 climbs and it holds its own. If you are looking for a good daypack that is light this one is for you.

Best Uses:

great pack. However for its volume it needs more substantial shoulder straps
