I purchased these shoes after 2 pairs of Five-Ten Anasazi velcro... The Defy is just as good if not better - and they are half the price to boot. I haven't had them long enough to know how they wear, but even if they are done in 6 months, I would buy another pair. These shoes form fit my feet more than any shoe I ever used. I was skeptical at first because of how comfortable they were when I wore then the first time - I push my 10.5 in normal shoes to 8.5 or 9 in climbing, so I am used to feeling a fair amount constricting pain in order to have sturdy and agressive results. I have size 9 Defys and they are magical. I can stand on the edges of a dimes all day long.

This is my first pair of climbing shoes and i really like them. I shopped around for a while trying on many shoes before making a purchase, and these were definitely the best fit of any shoe i tried on. They offer great comfort but also a high level of usefulness. They have held strong through numerous climbs and haven't failed me once. The velcro is also a very nice feature that makes for speedy entry/exit from the shoe.

I picked up these shoes for the climbing gym, because they were so cheap, and was impressed. They work great and are more durable than I expected. I doubted that they wouldn't stretch but they have not. Nice thing they do not stink as well.

Happy Climbing

Best Uses:

It becomes little bit slippery inside after using it for so long and since it is not breathable... the bacteria really builds up and stink-up the whole shoes. The smells really sticks to my feet after using it.

The heel also peels on the sides after heel-hooking so much. I had it for a year and still uses it. It has pros and cons.

Great shoe that really helped improve my climbing. The rubber did wear very fast, but it was still very sticky to the end. They smeared very well and edged amazingly well also.
