I compared the stickiness of the rubber against best La Sportiavas and Scarpas and it was way superior. On par with good 5-10-s.
The toe box is roomy. Overall size is unusual for a climbing shoe -- I went with my street size.
i use these shoes for all my climbing. they are amazing shoes, great for competing, bouldering, trad climbing, and sport climbing.
These are great shoes for someone who wants to do some technical climbing. The only reason I put them as uncomfortable is because I wear them a full size smaller than my street size. It gives me better footholds when I need to jam my toes in somewhere. Pretty durable shoe, lightwieght and snug with the velcro straps.
When i was looking for a high performance shoe i was dead set on getting the five ten gallileo or anasazi. I read all the reviews and just couldnt wait to get a pair, but there was just one problem they did not fit my foot. Then i tried the evolv pontas, and what a difference this is the first high performnce shoe that i have ever tried that performs great and is just as comfortable as an all day shoe. The bottom line is that The Evolv Pontas far exceeded my expectations.
