This is an excellent beginner shoe, that has no stretching at all. The sizing was spot on with my street shoes, and the width worked very well for my narrower-than-average foot. I've climbed on these for about 2 times a week for 6 months and I would say they are a little over half worn out. The down side to these shoes is that my ability has quickly outpaced what my shoes can do. They are excellent for learning the sport but will probably need to be replaced before they wear out.
My first pair of rock shoes were coyotes. I am now on my second pair. I have tried others but returned to the Coyotes because of comfort. They do smear and slab climb well. My first pair only lasted one year. I hope to get them resoled with the Onyx soles.

Our crew climbs often and most of us use this shoe, at first we saw it for the price. After buying it we saw that this was a bargin! Great shoe, it is very versitile!!

A good shoe overall, comfortable, easily adjustable, good quality for the price. Rubber cracks and splits after a few months(depending on how much you climb). I have 2 other friends who own this shoe, all have the same problem, but shoe holds up after re-soling fairly well. The rest of the shoe holds up well and breaks in nicely. Not the best for long outdoor climbs, but you can make it work. I would recommend it to a beginner or intermediate climber looking for a mid-level quality shoe without spending too much.
Got these shoes a few months ago as a beginner climber. They were comfortable and formed to my foot well. Helped me to progress quickly, however they started separating at the toe much sooner than expected. A friend of mine had the same problem with these shoes as well. So, I'd recommend them, but don't expect them to last for too long.
i like the product, just right for my size and very comfortable.

I ordered these and had to return them as they were just too small. The next size I received, while still tight and small was workable (I figured they would stretch a little). My toes are still curling a little but they seem to do the job.
I ordered them as they were widely advertised as a good model for beginners. They seem to be fitting that bill. Just be sure to try a half / full size larger.
Wish I could afford 20 pairs to last a life time; due to the difficulty of finding proper fitted footwear for my delicately shaped/somewhat narrow feet with the big toes being abnormally longest of the toes on my feet.
Great quality for the price I feel in spite of the minor flaws: Takes a little time to lace on and off... But, I find that adds to the benefiting ease of adjustability to acquire proper fit & comfort anyway.
Please keep this Nicely Designed entry-level Model Stealth C4: Coyote Lace-Up Climbing Shoes by Five Ten around forever!
Compliments to the Designers. My Feet Happily Thank You! Look forward to stocking up and sharing the Love!

If you're new to climbing you can't beat this for a lace up shoe. It's comfortable enough to wear around the climbing gym all day long and only takes a few sessions to fully break in. Sizes ran a little big as I wear a 11.5 in most shoes and a 11.0 in this shoe. I found it's great for general bouldering and for climbing less difficult routes. A great shoe at a great price for a beginner climber. The only negative is that it's not a very stiff shoe, but as a beginner it shouldn't make a difference.
