I've been climbing with Mad Rock Flash for years. Good value, good rubber, especially for climbers just starting out or gym climbing.

These shoes perform well on plastic and on real rock. They are great technical shoes, edge well, and have great rubber. I have had mine for six months and climb 5 times a week and they are on there first sole!
Great shoes, but in too small a package

I felt like Cinderella's ugly step sister with the wrong shoe. I bought a size up, and my toes were crunched.

These are true to size. I was told that the sizes listed were men's when in fact they are not. I am a 9/9.5 in women's and I definitely needed a 9.5/10 in these.
Great Quality, hard to figure the size.

This is my first pair of shoes. I sent the first pair of 7.5s back because they were so tight they hurt. Then I got 8's and the left one is fine but the right one is pretty uncomfortable as well.
I know the shoes are supposed to fit tight and are to be worn in, they are just a big tight for me and I'm sure I'll get used to them.
Otherwise, they are GREAT quality and super sticky. I only climbed indoor so far with these but I feel like spider man with the grip. The leather is really high quality and I like the heel cup. The form of the shoe is moderately aggressive, but still ok for a beginner I'd say.

i bought this to be an all day trad shoe or trainning shoe for the gym. i'm not impressed with how they perform on plastic, but they seem to stick better to real rock. they could also use a wider strip of velcro for better adjustment over the ball of the foot.

I followed the instructions on sizing (it said that they are men's sizes, so women should go a sizs smaller than they do usually). This was a bad idea. I am the size I always am in regular shoes.
