This is the second rope ive owned since ive started climbing. my first rope (which is still the tope rope slave) is an edelweiss 10.3mm Axis. Now to me this new rope is sweet and clips like a dream when you need it to on hard sends. its small, but does not compromise durability. when i was hunting for a good sub 10mm rope i compared this to the mammut 9.5 infinity. i prefer the sheath texture to the infinity making clips smoother. however taking whippers on each the mammut seems to have greater rope stretch. honestly though... even with that id rather take a little harder catch than decking after just a few pieces in, thats just me. ive only had the rope for a couple weeks so i cant make a comment on how long it will last but it seems promising with what ive done to it. the first batch of these ropes seemed to have problems when i did my research but now petzl seems to have fixed whatever was going on and made a good product. i hope this helps all you fellow bums needing a new cord.

The rope has great color and catches people's eye.
It feeds very well when new and is relatively light-weight.
But that's pretty much it for the pros. I've used it for approx. 5 months in the gym (90 climbing days, I'm 165 lbs) and had to scrap it. The sheath got separated from the core pretty quickly, it became hard to feed and finally the core come out of the sheath after one of the small falls in the gym. Yes, I took many short falls on the rope, having said that all my other ropes lasted for at least one year.
