It's very convenient not to carry fork,spoon and knife and only have one universal item, however it's impossible to use knife and fork at the same time (to cut meat, for example). Also after you use the spoon, you'll need to wash it right away, otherwise your hand will become dirty and slippery.

The only down side is I can only have one in each hand! How did I ever eat in the backcountry without my "Light My Fire" Foon. Do they give out Nobel Prizes for this??

I had two utensils to use for eating on my recent hiking trip on the Superior Hiking Trail in Minnesota. I would always resort to using the Peregrine Light My Fire Sporks because of the spoon. The other spork had the spoon and the fork on the same end. The Light My Fire Spork spoon portion allowed me to scrape the food better from my cup. The built in knife portion was also an added benefit for some of my meals. I didn't have to feel so primitive in my eating.
