At his request, we sent this coffee press to our son living in sub-Saharan Africa. Without it he was drinking only instant coffee -- something he'd NEVER done before! He is now content every morning in his small hut with no running water and his lexan coffee press with real coffee to drink!
Eastern Mountain Sports Response:Nobody should have to begin their day with instant coffee...cruelty beyond words.

I've had one of these for a few years. Lost the press part while bushwhacking on my last rip. Won't hook it to the outside of the pack again. Put the coffee and water in, put the top on, let it sit for a few minutes, and press. Great coffee in no time. I'm picking up my replacement this weekend.
