I received this as a gift and I absolutely love it. Unfortunately, I cracked mine when I tossed my Nalgene bottle onto the car seat next to the Tea-zer. It must have hit it at exactly the wrong angle, because a large star-shaped crack immediately formed along an entire side of the mug (water bottle emerged unscathed). Aside from this accident, I never had any problems with leakage. Some tea leaves did escape from the filter, especially if I overfilled the mug, but it was no big deal. I never washed it in the dishwasher, which could be a reason why mine held up so well.

Great idea but the screw on lid is useless. Leaks terribly even with the gaskets. Design flaw seems to keep the gaskets from compressing enough to work. Has done this from day one. Great idea but don't let this baby tip over in your backpack or on your car seat. It's possible this is an isolated occurence. The size is a bit too big for some cup holders. I would recommend a more sedentary usage of the product such as in the office where tipping over is not an issue. Would be great for campinga nd backpacking if it didn't leak.

Cons:

Best Uses:

Fabulous. The cons that were difficult to list above are that the little rubber piece on the bottom comes off when the glue gets warm (fix with super glue) and the sipper lid on the inside seems to take a little twist to get it to sit just right.

Loose tea with any sort of pot is going to have a bit of texture. If you shake this one around a bit, some of the tea leaves will come through the sipper lid -- but that's why we drink loose tea.

Overall, it's a brilliant design. The tea leaves stay at the top so as you drink a bit, your tea isn't contstantly steeping. I use it everyday.

Delicious
By qVerified Reviewer from ca on 11/13/2006

I love these tea-brewers. I throw some of my favorite tea leaves in before heading to the office, then I add hot water at the office and I'm good to go until afternoon. Very durable, virtually shatterproof, and double-walled so it is no problem keeping piping hot water. Very easy to clean as well.

Compact

I like the Tea Tumbler a lot. I bought two of them to replace one I already had that was damaged when I dropped it. The damaged one still worked but I thought I better have a backup because I like the thing that much. It makes a great cup of tea and does it simply. I wouldn't change a thing. Take it anywhere you want to go to make a great cup of tea.

The tea tumbler is great. My kids liked it so much I got each of the one for Christmas. At my age I forget sometimes when I brew tea. This way it is still hot when I go back to it. WONDERFUL!!!

great concept, but maybe you could....
By Perpetual traveller from Fairbanks, AK on 10/29/2006

It's a really great product. I just wish the holes were smaller or the strainer was made of mesh because my herbal teas are falling through. Also, I think the sip lid could fit a little tighter. But on the whole, it is the best travel brewer for loose tea I've ever seen.

Great!!
By EricVerified Reviewer from Singapore on 9/25/2006
Pros:
Unique
Best Uses:
Every day

I live in Asia and love to have tea with me on a daily basis... However, I have never enjoyed drinking tea with the leaves just in the water. I always felt like I was drinking out of a pond or something. The Tea tumbler lets me have quality tea but in a portable way and it is great! Everyone who notices the tea strainer inside wants to know where I bought it! You guys should really get these things over here!

Eric
