The padding is done in a very awesome way in this helmet. The padding is attached to the helmet with velcro so you can swap out different sized sections to achieve a great fit. According to the box and literature the helmet is both ASTM and CPSC certified, however there isn't a sticker inside the helmet for ASTM certification. Not sure if this means that only certain sizes in this line are ASTM certified or if they all are and simply lack a sticker. ASTM certification is not governed by laws like CPSC is so this may very well be the case.
