I like this thing, plus the price was right. I even bought one for my mom for Christmas. It made me realize that I don't get around as much as I thought I did.

Looks great, convenient, but badly over-counts, even when you are careful about orientation. Engineering is badly out-of-date, using a mechanical step counter. Best new pedometers use accelerometer circuit which count much better and don't fail over time. Don't bother.
Eastern Mountain Sports Response:We’re sorry to hear the Thin Q Pocket Pedometer didn’t work for you. That said…if you haven’t returned or exchanged it yet…we’d be happy to facilitate the process for you. Please contact us here in Customer Service at 888.463.6367 if we can help. As for the technology…there are other options available and prices vary. The functionality may be a little old school…but it is effective…and this unit in particular continues to be a popular choice.

Fits in pocket, you don't know it's there. The only problem I have is that it occasionally resets itself probably because the reset button wes bumped.

I borrowed my daughter's Thin Q for a walking trip around Boston, came home and ordered my own immediately. I belong to a weight loss group and after hearing about this pedometer, they all purchased it as well. Fits easily into a front pocket including my sports shorts, dress pants and jeans. I wear it all day around the office and on errands. Easy to read numbers, I don't even need my glasses! Easy to set too.
