I have worn this vest for my daily walks in the park and while at work.
It is nice and lightweight and has a chest pocket which is great.
The biggest complaint is that it attracts way too much dust and hair unlike its standard fleece predecessor which I now wear instead.
I am not a very big fan of micro-fleece because of this vest I will be returning it.

I live in Fort Worth, Texas. I was able to purchase the Fleece vest in brown at your Boston store in October. I was delighted to see a red one on sale this year. I wear this vest over a long sleeve shirt on cool days or on cold days under a jacket or fleece for additional warmth. Very nice products come from Eastern Mountain Sports.....

GREAT FOR CASUAL WEAR OR WINTER RUNNING. DOES NOT OVERHEAT, BLOCKS MOST WIND, RETAINS ZERO MOISTURE EVEN UNDER HARD ACTIVITY. BREATHABLE. THE BEST VEST I HAVE EVER OWNED. LIKED IT SO MUCH I GOT ANOTHER.

Use primarily for those "in-between" temperature days when it's cool vs cold (when a coat is best).

The vest is designed (cut) perfectly. Does not hang on you like a tent as do other vests. Great styling and quality fleece.

Tight knit of the fleece makes this vest almost totally windproof. Wore it with a chamois shirt to shove snow this morning at 16 degrees, stayed completely warm. Actually I don't even wear a coat anymore just the vest
Excellent quality and value for money !!

Where are the carabiners
Bottom Line:

I bought a Core vest and Core jacket 2 years back. I was impressed with the thickness and warmth of the material. I was also amused with the cute little carabiners that came on the zipper. I recently bought 2 more Core vests. The current material is much thinner and not as warm. And alas, no more cute carabiners. I was dissappointed. I expected the same vest I bought 2 years ago. What I received was a cheaper (not less expensive, however) version with a lower quality material.

I replaced an older vest. The EMS vest is MUCH warmer, and lighter. It does start off a little stiff, just let it break in.

excellent fit and finish, great design perks of the under zipper anti-breeze flap and collar zipper cover. Maybe an available clip on nylon web or cord at about 3-4 inches would assist with gloved hand operation of zipper or even other garments.

this core vest is much comfortable with me and a good coverage on my small back. I love it so much, because it is lightweight and its thickness is much same as North Face Khumb jacket. It means I don't worry about NFK's sleeves. Ha!!!!!

Great vest [...]. With all of my gear, I frequently use my chest pocket. After wearing it around town with only a cell phone in the pocket, it seems a little stretched. That's my only negative. Maybe some nylon reinforcement would help.Thick fleece and zipper pockets are excellent. The fit and finish is on par with any other brand. Great all around piece.
