A newbie might struggle a bit with it on race day, but a few practice goo consumption drills and you'll be fine. When I'm using water instead of an electrolyte replacement drink and know I need more sugar to complete my workout or race, I stash a few of these on me and look forward to a chocolatey caffeine boost. The flavor is better than most because it doesn't try to mimic something it isn't. Chocolate, fortunately, is gooey already, so it's perfect. Good texture, well designed package, but stay away from the coffee flavors!
