I am in the Army and I use the features of this watch quite often. So far I have taken it swimming, hiking and out an airplane and it hasn't skipped a beat. It is a bit big but it's very light and it's no bigger than I'd expect with all the features it has inside. Great watch

I have owned this watch for approximatly 9 months and so far have loved it. The only problems i have had is the factory battery dying very quickly in bad timing, and for some reason recently i cant seem to get the compass to calibrate properly and the only directions it reads in east or southeast....otherwise its totally bomber!
I have owned this watch for over ten years and just recently had it sent back to Suunto for a repair. It needed a new band and battery its second ever. When the watch was returned to me I was blown away. Suunto basically refurbished the watch so well I thought it was brand new. [...] Good times.

The barometer weather forecast function works best if you remain pretty much in the same area. When we travel 100 miles of so the different barometer for that area throws off the forecast feature. If you remain in the same general area it is extremely accurate. I didn't test the altimeter yet but all the other features are extremely accurate.

[...] This watch is huge! too big and was looking too repulsive on wrist. I did not like the design, the color (lighter blue than I expected)and the unnecessary big numbers on the screen.Any way, it was a frustrating experience for me.

I have purchased this watch for use on a trip out to the southwest next summer. I have been trying it out on the Long Trail in VT. I found it fairly easy to understand and set-up. I enjoy the altimeter function and have been checking it against topos and my GPS. So far so good.

I really like this watch. The LCD face is large and easy to read. Functionality is second to none. This is a thick, bulky watch but it's formidable size does not translate excessive weight.
Note that there are two LCD display styles in the Vector line. There is the traditional grey background with black numbers or a modern new black background with grey numbers. The type of display you get is dependent on the color of watch so be sure to look at the pictures before you buy. I personally like the more modern black background as it is easily readable in daylight, but is completely stealthy at night. You will not be able to read the display on this in low light without using the backlight feature. Perfect for tactical use.

This watch has an incredible number of features - clock, altimeter, barometer, alarms, stopwatch, etc. They are easy to use, and customizable. The large LCD screen is super easy to read, and the backlight is very bright. Most importantly, this watch gives the most accurate altitude readings of any I've used. Several mountaineering friends of mine own the same watch for the same reasons. Accurate. Reliable. Durable. Great watch.
