I use it when I go outdoors, like biking, camping or fishing. it always fits my need.
I recently used this headlamp as my primary light source on a fourteen day expedition and it worked like a champ. It's not the brightest lamp out there, but it's good for walking and for tent use. The battery life is okay and the batteries are light enough that you can easily carry a few extra sets for the same weight as two AA batteries. My only complaint is that the sliding lever-switch sometimes gets jammed with dirt/sand and makes turning the light on frustrating at times. I would have to day that my favorite feature was actually the case with the built in plastic belt loop. This allowed me to attach the light to my backpack's hip-belt so I could easily access the lamp without having to dig through my bag. Overall very solid product, highly recommended.
This light is so portable and rugged that I put in my pocket every day with my keys, coins and knife and I don't know it's there until I need it.
This headlight is great if you plan to wear it for a while; it is lightweight and has a great beam. The red light is handy for teaching others about night hiking, as well.
This is a great light. The solid red mode is a little dim but great for preserving night vision. The headlamp is about as bright as you would expect from three LEDs, but it's worth it to have something so light and tiny.
Great item

This is marketed as a backup/emergency light, but I can't think of any reason not to use it as a primary source. Great brightness, even with economy setting, and the ability to focus the beam in any direction (or clip/cinch it anywhere!) makes it invaluable around camp or even trail-running late at night. I'm not sure I would use it on my bike without a second mounted light, but it's probably good enough. The weight (less than 1 oz!!!) is unbeatable, and even though the battery life is questionable it would be super super easy to carry extra batteries (since it runs on small lithiums, not AAA).I can't believe no one has made a light like this before and it's really affordable [...]
Great portable headlamp. Only downside is that it doesn't use regular batteries, but that's what keeps it lightweight . . .
Great invention! You get great illumination and don't even feel it on your cap or waist. Excellent headlamp.
I think this light is really cool, and bought it as a cap light for fishing. I liked the versatility of having both a white and red light on the same lamp. I also thought the ball attachment would be nice to adjust the lamp direction to where I needed it. It does. In fact the lamp is just great.
However, when fishing, especially wading at night which is my method, you usually only have one hand free, the other either holding a fishing rod or a cantankerous fish during de-hooking. The on-off lever on the lamp is difficult to work with one hand. So not the best light for me.
This is a perfect light for car emergencies especially since I usually have a handicapped person with me and he needs all of my hands. This head lamp is a must have in ALL our vehicles.
I BOUGHT 1 FOR MY SELF AND 2 AS GIFTS AFTER I BOUGHT MINE!
Excellent very compact light. Adjustable - can aim nearly any direction or clip to a hat or other object. Multiple modes (solid or flash; white or red LED). Bright mode may not illuminate far/wide enough for some uses, but versatility and compact design outweigh this.
Very lite, compact and easy to pack along. Bright enough for intended uses. Great battery life.
Small and amazingly powerful for what it is. Not sure I'd want to rely on it for serious navigation at night, but certainly good for short summer nights or as an almost weightless backup to a main headlamp.

Solid, functional and a 10 year shelf life!
Makes a great addition to any emergency kit (don't worry about keeping the batts fresh). Throw one next to your bed, in your car or in your pack.
Makes an excellent stocking stuffer!
