Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I like to pack with a few comforts but with weight in mind. This is a great little emergency gear and works in a pinch. Good item to use as a sleeping system. Great item for the price and the size and weight. Nothing will beat a cold rated sleeping bag and an actual bivy. This is a lot better then having nothing and its so small that you won't ever think about not bringing it unlike the more expensive heavy bivies/
