So much easier than water bottles! No more, stopping to dig out your bottle, unscrew, chug down, screw back on, and repack your bottle.

Fill it up with a tray of ice, fill with water and you're set for the day.

The only problem I've had is when I connected my filter to it directly. Be careful, I wasn't paying attention and filled the reservoir with both water and air. The pressure caused the screw on lid to leak all over the inside of my pack. So it's not perfect and if you're going to fill it directly with a filter, it's best to pull it out of your pack and unscrew to vent the air you're pumping in.

Also, don't try to put anything other than water in it. I've been using camelbaks for over a decade now and it's just a recipe for growing nasty stuff inside of it. Only using water, just dump out any remaining water, blow out the hose and hang it to dry with the lid open. I'll dry and last forever.

went hiking in the desert. I had this product in my backback and it kept my water cold for TWO DAYS despite the weather and the proximity to my body heat. AMAZING!!!

This hydration system was incredible. It did everything I hoped it would. What I didn't expect is how long it keeps fluids cold. I filled it up with ice and water at 7:30 a.m. It was still cold at 6:00 p.m. No Kidding!!

Keeps my water cold during warm weather
By Peak BaggerVerified Reviewer from Maine on 11/1/2006
Pros:
Removeable bladder, Retains temperature well
Cons:
Sweats with too much ice
Best Uses:
Hiking

I love that it helps to keep my water cold in the summer and that it helps to reduce the amount of sweat that the bladder gives off. However, I found that there is a fine line where you add too much ice and it manages to sweat through the insulated outside sleeve. I wish that I could put more ice into it so my water would stay colder longer, but, overall, I am very happy with it.
