We bought our first pair for our first daughter when she was about 17 months. Every year she gets a new pair (just purchased her 4th pair) and the old ones have held up so well that we have been able to use them for our second daughter and a cousin. The two adjustable straps help ensure a snug fit especially when we first move up to the next size. Very easy for the kids to put on themselves. Shoes clean up very nicely, whether dirty from wear or potty training accidents. Great for active outdoor play without worry about traction. And the color choices let us pair them up with play clothes and "nicer"clothes. We love these shoes!
