this is a very good sharpener. i did it in the car and it sharpened my knife in just a few strokes.

Its a 2-step knife sharpener that is probably the best in its class, fast, effective, easy, good price. And that's all you need.
After fooling around with water-stones you have to soak and have real knife sharpening skills to use, I came across one of these [...]and gave it a try. It worked so well it was almost scary: a few pulls across the coarse rods and then the same number across the fine ones and my knives went from 'annoying' to 'can cut patterns in paper' in a process that took less than a minute per blade.The only thing I might carp about is its compact form-factor: it is a very small doo-hickey and you have to hold your hands a little close to where you are dragging the blades while you use it. Aside from that one thing, it is one of the best gadgets I've ever seen.

Excellent sharpener. It works in seconds and is light enough to carry around anywhere. Great for keepin' my whittlin' knives sharp!

works great on smaller knives and leatherman type tools. Haven't tried it on anything larger, but I am sure it will do the job.
