Wife and I each have one, one for her 12"Dirigo and one for my 12" Pungo. We've used them to bring our kayaks up and down to the lake to our dock - Involves about 800' of driveway & road asphalt and about 250' of woodland trail some part of both involve steep little hills to drag the boats up/down...
The Molly Cart is easy to set-up under the boat and even though the boats seem to shift to sit on one side or the other - it's stable enough to pull around ok.
There is something about the strap and hook that attaches to the cockpit lip that seems a bit flimsy. I can see how it could get broken if it where not worked on & off the lip carefully. I wonder how long the plastic hook part of it will last (see earlier review).
The wheels work better for asphalt than for the wooded trails - Might want to go for a dolly with air filled wheels/tires if you have woodland paths to put your kayay with.
Very functional, easy to attach and a great
way to transport my kayak down my street to the water.
The Paddleboy website said the Molly cart was able to portage a canoe. My 15.5 ft canoe was very difficult to attach and balance on the cart. The hook that attaches the cart had a very short strap; in fact the hook broke when I tested the cart out tooling around my yard! What attracted me to this cart was the price. I would say this cart would be ideal for a smaller one person kayak.
easy to use, saves wear and tear on carrying, fits fairly easy into hatch (Pungo 12' or Necky 13')
Great product, allows for easy kayak transport.
This is a good product, smooth rolling, adjusts easily to any kayak. Does the job. However, not as compact as you think. Fits in rear hatch, but can't close.
