My husband and I are new to kayaking and this kayak is perfect for me. We enjoy day trips on a nearby lake. We only wish we would have taken up this adventure sooner! EMS was amazing with the order of this kayak..I couldn't find a red one anywhere, and they were so helpful. [...] Thank You!

I was searching for a good all around kayak for mainly fishing. Boy did I find it. At the dealer I had them put many different kayaks on the floor for a "test sitting" and this boats' seat is amazingly comfortable. Perfect for 3-4 hour fishing stints without any problem. The on-board adjustibility is a huge plus. Stable, comfortable, good storage, and useability make this kayak a great choice.

Cons:
Difficult Entry & Exit
Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

Great kayak for the beginner as well as experienced. Good distance per paddle with ease. Lumbar support is a good feature as well as the cup holder. The only problem is the waterproof cell phone holder is not waterproof. I thought that it may not have had a seal but it fell off the kayak when I was using my phone. I wish there and been a safety strap. The larger compartment also takes on quite a good deal of water if the boat tips over.

I bought this boat at a paddle event after trying several different models including the more expensive, touring ones. I tried it last week at a tributary of the Houssatonic river in CT. We, my wife and I, then proceed to the main river . Overall the tracking leaves a bit to be desired. But with some paddle adjusting it can be overcompensated. Regarding speed, I am not a racer so that was not a factor. Stabiliy was awesome. I took on some serious wakes broadside from passing boats and at no time did I feel like I was about to tip over. The stern dry hatch kept items dry and cool even in the summer heat. I am very pleased with this boat and, given how I intend to use it, expect many years of fun and pleasure out of it.
