Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This is a great adjustable PFD to have for taking different sized guests out paddling. Very comfortable but also very secure when adjusted properly. The only con is the "2 external pockets" that are listed in the specs are just vertical velcro closures on the front panels, but this is minor given the primary purpose of the vest.
