I purchased these dry pants for rafting the 2008 spring release of the West River in VT. Although I hoped to avoid swimming, I wanted to be prepared. Boy am I glad I did! I put my new gear to the test twice. The first was an ugly swim that proved they are well sealed even in a class III swim, and they can take a beating without tearing. I abrasion tested them against at least a dozen rocks...just to verify their quality, of course. The pants did great...my legs, underneath....not so well. My second swim was a piece of cake and these pants helped keep me warm and dry both times. I am not sure how useful the loose pocket is in front, but the fit is terrific and movement is free and easy. They are a bit hard to put on, as are any dry clothes with good gaskets, but they are comfortable for a long day on the river. Overall, these pants are a great product and I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

I am still not unhappy enough to send back but my main issue is that they do not mate at all with the top(same brand). They need an excess of material that can wrap together with the top creating the seal like a dry bag.
