I bought this product after a close call while kayak fishing with my brother in law. I was in my tandem with a buddy and my brother in law was in his own kayak, night fishing in Virginia. We were fishing by a bridge when he flipped because he got pinned by a strong rip. We didn't have any rope but luckily a fishing boat was there and did. I haven't actually used this product yet but it looks well made and well thougth out. I will try it out in order to make sure I can use it when needed but hope I will never really need to use it. At least I'll have peace of mind that I have it on board, just in case. The only thing that I can think of to improve the product iw to make the length of rope longer.

I special ordered this throwbag from california, cause i new it was the best. Now EMS is carrying it. Its the best quality and most functional throw bag out there. The pocket on the side it a excellent feature. If you are serious about paddling you must have a little big mouth!!!
