No, I would not recommend this to a friend
The binding broke after only about a dozen uses (I purchased the skis and bindings two seasons ago). The plastic shank snapped and the front part of the binding pulled out of the ski, ruining both the binding and the ski. Not what I would have expected from thees products. Before this happened, I was extremely pleased with how sturdy they were and how well they held the boots. Will go back to EMS for repair/replacement and try them again, as this could have been a faulty binding. My old three-pin bindings have lasted 35 years and are still going.

If you take them off in the snow they are very hard to put back on.
