This pack is great if you want something to take on the plane but don't necessarily want to have an extra bag around all the time.... just crumple it up and throw it in your luggage.
Plenty of compression straps make the bag size conform to pratically any load: dirty laundry, books, multiple pairs of shoes, etcetera. Really very versatile.
Would definately recommend this for travel purposes. The lack of shape make its great to put stuff in and stow (ie - plane carryon bag, car trips) but not the best to carry for long periods of time (ie - long day hikes, etcetera).

Great pack with many uses and options. Have used it for a year now. Get a rain cover for long downpours. It even has a bottom slot for one. Sold me on checking out and buying other EMS stuff. Has taken many falls without splitting any seams. Awesome pack!
