it actually does compress that small
bag was cold at 45 degrees(with a prolite 4 pad underneath, and good health/nutrition), Zipper was difficult to operate constantly needs restarting with each exit (midnigjt fights with zipper). Nice idea but, agood full length zipper cant increase the weight that much and change the temp rating to 40/45 degrees. Returned mine [...]
I used this bag all summer long and into the early fall. I did several weeks on the Long Trail in Vermont and then two nights a week for the rest of the season, so the bag saw a good deal of use. I love how small and compact it gets. I didn't use the stuff sack, just kept it at the bottom of my pack. My only complaint would be that the zipper sticks from time to time. Other than that, I have no problems or regrets and plan to use it again this summer!
Have had an earlier version of this bag for a while now. Very happy with how well it compresses, closest synthetic to down that I've found.
Most vigorous trial to date was a three night trip in the Sierras in September. Camped at 11500 ft using a tarp for shelter. Slept completely comfortably wearing light/cheap poly pro underwear, light fleece hat, and using a silk liner. The conditions were very windy the first night, two nights below freezing (lake had iced over during the night, water bottles froze part way). Bag performed well. Only difficulty was getting into the bag with the silk liner and half zip.
I bought this bag about a year ago and I've enjoyed it a lot so far. The best attribute is that it packs down really small and light, so it's great for lightweight/minimalist camping. Some people miss a full-length zipper, but I've found that my temperature is really well regulated in this bag, and I fit well in the long version (I'm 6'3", 210lbs.). Since it's pretty thin, if you don't use a good pad underneath the ground will suck the warmth out of you, but that's the case with pretty much any bag. Also, I like the synthetic fill because it can still insulate when wet. Overall, I'm very pleased with it.
I have to use a liner on 55 degree nights, Salesman claim it was the best bag he used and took him at his word.
I love this bag. I have used it on several trips and each time I've been very pleased. It packs small & is very warm for the weight. I used it last weekend in temps around freezing and was toasty warm. Other reviewers who raised concerns about the warmth must either be very cold natured or not using a ground pad. I agree with earlier comments about missing the full length zipper but its a weight vs. convenience trade off.
bag is noticeably lighter than my neverwinter 30 degree bag. Unfortunately, it is more restrictive, not much sidesleeping here. Also, I would not trust this bag for anything under 40-45 degress. It is strictly a summer low elevation bag, for that purpose it does just fine. If it's possible you are going to see temps in the 30's, bring a warmer bag or expect to wear everything you brought in the bag.
After taking it on two trips (coast and mountains) I was dissappointed in the comfort provided. It packs extremely well and is lightweight but did not keep me comfortable in mid to high 40 degree temps. The need to carry extra clothing to compensate for the size and light weight seems counterproductive. I ended up returning it. The 35 degree rating is questionable as far as I'm concerned.
I love how light and compact it is. The material is comfortable to sleep in. The coldest night that I slept in it was in the high 30's and it was plenty warm. Part of its "warmth properties" comes from less dead space which would make it a little restrictive if you are obese and toss and turn alot. I wish the zipper was full length for better ventilation on warmer nights.
The bag has a good feel and compacts nicely. The only real problem with it is that it is a 35 degree bag and only has a half zipper. Your feet will get hot in this bag on an average night and there is no way to vent them.
This is a great product, with a water-resistant shell and an even distribution of Primaloft insulation. However, it does not have much loft so it's ability to live up to its' comfort rating may be a bit optimistic. I have not tried it below 50 degrees yet, but above that it's a wonderful bag - packs down small and light!
So far I am very pleased with this bag. It does seem a bit fragile though, and a full-length zipper would surely help temperature control. I worry about using the included very small stuff sack; I can see how the bag may be damaged trying to stuff it into such a small sack. I will likely use a larger stuff sack. As the temps in northern Maine have not been above 25-degrees since I bought the bag, I have only used it indoors. It fits well and feel good, but other than the fact that it was very warm in a 60-degree room (hence the full-length zipper comment), I cannot judge how it will work in damp or cool wx. Lastly, I was pleased with the speed of EMS online ordering and shipping. I ordered online on a Wednesday morning, selected standard ground shipping, received shipping confirmation that afternoon, and the sleeping bag was at my door the very next afternoon by 3:00pm. This is the reason I have been an EMS customer since the early 1980s. Great products and great service. Thank you.
There's everything to like about this-incredibly light, small package in a pack... but I would like to see a full zipper... I currently use a bivy with a side entrance and it is difficult to wiggle into.
If you're searching for a fast and light bag that may get wet, but will dry quickly, and you're not headed out in the winter, then this bag is for you. It is VERY thin, and you WILL need a pad, yet for a fast and light bag, it is true.

I had serious doubts that this bag would actually keep me warm, but I was amazed at the warmth. I slept like a baby in temps that easily got down to 35 degrees. Certainly no complaints about the size or temp rating, but if you are looking at this bag please keep in mind that it is designed to be lightweight and small...if you are looking for a big comfy car camping bag then go elsewhere. If you want a nice lightweight backpacking/kayak camping bag, then look no further, this is it! One complaint: the stuff sack is just a little too small to get all of the bag in.

You would be hard-pressed to find a better bag at a better price. I have used it for everything from backpacking trips to crashing on my friends floor. Very versitile bag that regulates temperature surprisingly well. My only concern would be durability but that is only because everything is very light weight. Easy to throw in the bottom of ANY backpack.

A fine choice for an ultralight summer bag, especially in wet environments. Good fit on my 6'3" 195 lb. The compression stuff sack, sized specifically for this bag, is a nice bonus.
