I had this pad for over six years. i had used it camping many times, including a 2 week backpacking trek. overall, the product was great, and i only had to do one or two minor hole repairs.
however, i took the same sleeping pad on a month long NOLS course this past summer, and sure enough, a week into the course, it broke. from what i could deduct, the inner pieces that hold the pad as a rectangle tore, and the pad turned into a hot dog shape. i would like to point out that this is partly my fault becuase i like to inflate my pads as much as i can, and i may have over inflated the pad. and when i sat on it...rippp.
overall, however, this is a great product and i would strongly reccomond it. just be careful about how much air you put into it.

I could not live without a crash pad. I carpeted my bedroom with stitched crash pads. I would never go on a trip without a crash pad.

I have only had it for 3 weeks and it doesnot inflate by itself. When I inflate it myself, by the time i wake up it's deflated. I have checked there is no hole
Eastern Mountain Sports Response:If there is no hole in the pad the valve must be leaking. We'd encourage an exchange for a new pad. Our first priority is your complete satisfaction with your Eastern Mountain Sports® purchase.

This product broke after the 6th time I used it.
i used it for boy scouts and it gets flat after 5 to 6 hours.
Eastern Mountain Sports Response:Regarding your Crash Pad leaking…the pads are covered with a durable denier polyester material to avoid incurring damage. However it is essentially an air mattress which is susceptible to punctures and tears so you do need to be careful while using it. It’s always a good idea to make sure the surface you are putting the pad on is free of anything that may pierce the fabric. All inflatable pad users will at some point poke a hole in their pad and so patch kits are made specifically to remedy this misfortune. Note our guarantee and call us if we can help 888.463.6367.
