Awesome pad! I can't leave home without it. Packs up so small and if you have the stuff sack that goes with this prolite 4, it doubles as a pillow if you start putting soft sweaters, socks, pants and other soft items to fluff it up. Not the most comfortable, but it'll do for the weight conscious.
The only drawback that I find is that the pad is pretty narrow. Saving space I presume? I am going to invest in a Luxury Pad. ;)

I have used this thermarest for backpacking. It has been great! The length is all you need for warmer weather and it packs very compactly. If you don't like having your legs on the ground you can place some of your gear under them. It inflates easily and you can easily adjust how inflated you would like it to be.

I use it camping from canoe and motorcycle. I like it better than my own mattress.
I bought the Trail Lite model for my Wife. It is slightly heavier but appears more durable.

I Love my thermarest. I never had a sleeping pad untill last year, now I can't live without it. I love its comfort and its compactability. Great for wintercamping, I now find myself sleeping warmer than ever!

I am very fussy when it comes to sleep comfort. I found that letting it self-inflate and then adding 2-3 breaths made for a very comfortable bed. It rolls up very compactly. I recommend getting the stuff sack that was made for it. It is light weight and fits snugly, keeping it nice and compact.

This sleeping pad is really compact and comfortable. It is easy to set up and pack up. If you get one you should really consider getting the matching stuff sack and the chair conversion kit. On summer trips the sleeping pad can be folded and turned into a chair! In the winter this pad keeps you super warm and in the warmed weather actually makes a bumpy ground soft. The only downfall is that it gets wet really easily and takes forever to dry so try your best not to get it wet!

Not as comfortable as a thick air mattress but very packable and better than a foam pad.
