No, I would not recommend this to a friend
These boots were really comfortable and warm, and the sectional lacing system was pretty convenient...except after TWO DAYS the cleat clip on one lace snapped off. It was unfixable and the boots had to be replaced.
So be warned, these are great boots but those little cleats that look really fragile are, in fact, really fragile.

These boots are versatile for all types and terrain you everyday boarders ride! Forget paying [$] for a pair of boots. I had a pair of Burton SL's before these, and there is no need to go back. Something is definitely up when two boots are easily comparable but one costs half as much!!Peep DEELUXE...
