heel lifts save on fatigue
These snowshoes are excellent for all users.
They are light, packable, very durable, easy to use, and using the optional tails, are outstanding for all types of terrain.
I pack the optional tails, and use the snowshoes alone in most conditions, because I want a smaller footprint that is easier to walk with.
When conditions change to deep snow, I quickly attach the tails and am back in business. I consider this convertible solution to be the best when facing unpredictable conditions on a long-range snow bound backpacking trip.
I weigh 200 pounds and typically carry between 20-30 pounds of gear.
I'm not sure why they are called "Ladies" shoes, they are just blue instead of black. Whatever, based on the quality of these shoes, they can call them whatever they want, they will always be with me when backpacking in the snow.
I used a pair of these hiking up Mt. Liberty and the Flume in the White Mountains last weekend and the heel lifter made an incredible difference. My lower legs are not nearly as fatigued as they normally are and I felt I had excellent traction with a thick top layer of ice/snow mix on the way down when it started to soften up a bit.
These shoes are sooo worth the extra price! They are great for every terrain. This company makes good products and has a lifetime guarantee.. what more do you want?
