I bought this tent about two years ago and it has survived several trips through new hampshire's white mountains. Steep walls get the most out of the already-spacious square footage. Although I haven't had a problem thus far, I would still reccomend using a footprint as the floor is not as rugged as I would like. That said, I would reccomend this tent to a friend.
Great tent, easy to set up, and lots of room. It is not a "3-season" tent though, I would not recommend it for tempatures below 50 degrees.
This tent was extremely easy and quick to set up, is super light to carry, and was very comfortable and attractive once set up. And, it's an amazing price! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
The tent is easy to set up, and has a good amount of space for 4 people. The weight was the main selling feature for me. I took it on a 4 week trip to British Columbia, Canada, it worked out well until we ventured into the back country where the few rain storms we were in ended with water seeping in. Also the poles seem rigid at first but the tent could not survive the West Coast Trail (75km treck on vancouver island) We finished the hike with extremly warped tent poles from the wind which led to even less waterproofing.
My boyfriend and I wanted a tent that we could take to a campground or take to the mountains. We have the smaller version of this tent and it was great on the trails but didn't provide enough room on other occasions. This tent is great for both because it's lightweight enough to go backpacking with and roomy enough to use on casual trips. We've been caught in the rain several times and never had any problems. Also it's extremely easy to set up. We love it.

I set up the tent and took it down by myself. It was very easy and only took a few minutes. It does not require extra hands. It was very comfortable and roomy for 2 and a lab. It rained all weekend and the tent stayed dry. I guess the only con would be that the zipper on the outside is hard to reach when it's all the way to the ground and your trying to get out of the tent. I recommend the footprint because the floor is pretty thin.
I took this Tent Camping last week at 10,000 feet in Colorado. It help up to some really strong winds really well. The tent was located on some small/medium sharp rocks and it wore small holes through the bottom of the tent (from moving my gear around on the inside) but the ground cloth didn't even have a scratch in it. It is easy to set up, I set it up for the first time by my self in the dark and didn't really have too much trouble with it
We have a 7 month old who at 2 months camped with us in our 2 person tent. Things were tight. We bought this one and can put her travel cot (which isn't the smallest on the market) up in it and still have plenty of space for mom and I to sleep/hangout in very comfortably. A great tent thus far.
My wife and I bought this 4-person tent so that we would be a little less cramped on our Camping trips. After reading the previous reviews we were confident it was the right choice. Once we received it we set it up once knowing the next time would be in the woods, in the dark. It set up very easy both times. In the middle of the night of our first night at Cane Pond in the Adirondacks these crazy winds came out of no-where. The tent held very strong and we slept like babies. Everything functioned perfectly, and we had nothing to worry about. It is not a very compact and light weight tent which didn't matter to us because we canoed to our site. Backpacking with it would have been difficult. If you want function and comfort, buy this tent.
A very sturdy and easy to set up tent with an excellent fly system. It added benefit of a vestibule created by the fly is great! It is an all around great value.
The first day I had the tent, I set it up in the front yard. I had no clue a storm was on its way in later in the evening. I left the tent up to see how it would do. Winds were around 20-25 mph constant, with gusts to about 40. The tent held up good. And the best thing was, not a single drop of water got into the tent and it was raining pretty good. It went out and sat in it after the storm passed and it did not feel stuffy or muggy in there at all. The mesh provides plenty of ventilation, especially when a breeze is going.
I hate rain. I love this tent. I went camping this weekend and it downpoured for the 4 days and 3 nights that we were at the site but my tent stayed bone dry. This wasn't just your typical rain, it was tropical depression Barry and it sure did pour. I'm a novice camper but I found this tent really easy and quick to set up. The only downfall is that there isn't much internal pockets or pouches for storage (there are some). Great tent, I'd recommend it to anyone.
