We just used the tent for the first time over Labor Day weekend. My wife and I had the tent up in about 30 minutes, probably won't take over 20 next time we use it. It is heavy, but we do car camping with our two children and can park within 10 feet of the tent site. The tent has all the room we could ask for. With the rain fly on ventilation is a little scarce, but the tent stays dry. We will definitely need a tent fan for hot summer nights, but for cold weather camping the tent is great. I am still trying to find a store that has the matching footprint in stock - this is a hard to find item but worth the effort. We helped a friend put up his Trailhead 8 with the footprint, it went up easier and faster.

I looked around a lot for a nice family camping tent after we had a rain issue with our old one. I have 2 children and a dog (australian shepard) and this tent fits us all with room to spare. I haven't tested it in inclemant weather yet, but it is super easy to set up - I did it myself without reading any directions in about 20 minutes, fly included - I also purchased the footprint with this tent because if you are gonna spend [$] on a great tent, you may as well spend an extra [$]on the footprint to make this a lifetime purchase. I highly recommend this tent for family camping or as a basecamp.

GOOD:VERY NICE LOOKING TENT OTHER CAMERS LIKED, VERY ROOMY, WAS ABLE TO FIT 2 LARGE AIR MATRESSES AND HAVE ROOM ENOUGH FOR EXTRAS, LEFT INSTRUCTIONS AT HOME FIRST TIME OUT, NO PROBLEM, SET UP WITHIN 30 MIN...

BAD:WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO SET UP THE TENT AT TIMES W/O HAVING TO ADD CANOPY, THUS HAVING OPTION TO CLOSE WINDOWS WHEN NEEDED, ALSO EVEN W/THE CANOPY ON,ON ONE CAMPING TRIP TOOK THE FAMILY AND BROUGHT ALONG A SMALL AIR CONDITIONOR FOR A CHILD, WAS NOT ABLE TO COOL THE TENT DOWN DUE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO CLOSE THE WINDOWS, WISH WHEN CANOPY ADDED THAT THE 3RD OUTDOOR ROOM CAME W/FLOOR OPTION. TOO HIGH PRICED

IF IM MISSING SOMETHING OR DID NOT UNDERSTAND ITS USE THEN PLEASE SOMEONE LET ME KNOW! REMEMBER, TEMPERTURES IN TEXAS HAVE BEEN IN HIGH 90'S, WISH INSTRUCTIONS FOR FOLDING CAME ALONG "like a tarp, must be folded a certain way for best results"
