Tested out my new test last week and was very happy. I set it up indoors a few days prior to make sure I knew the drill. It was late and drizzing when I thought it's a good time to text the tent. Set up was fast and easy using only a head lamp to see and working fast so I didn't get soaked. The tent was dry and roomy, lots of head room and pockets for my light and wallet.

I recently took a trip down to Ecuador and had this tent with me in case any overnight camping opportunities came up. My last weekend there we all went to cotopaxi and camped at the foot of the mountain in a dry river bed. This held up in 40 mph wind, rain, snow, and sleet! The rain fly did a great job keeping the moisture out as well as the wind. The only down side is the stakes that came with it, not the best quality (easily bendible and not the best hold) but you can buy better quality cheap so no big deal.

Dry and comfortable in rain, light snow, frozen slush. No experience yet with open exposures, high winds, or sand. Definitely easy to set up and break down. Footprint with fly helps to keep tent drier during breakdowns in the rain. Footprint of course, also protects tent floor while tent is in use. Would like to have a rear window and/or operational rear vent. Also prefer a vestibule that can be opened to either side (greater flexibility for varied siting And provides additional ventilation options). All in all, however, a great tent thus far. Time will tell how durable it is.

The best tent with the smallest pricetag

After searching and researching this is the best tent available for the price. Its lightweight, easy to set up, and it pack really small. The tent is comfortable for two real sized adults to sleep in and plenty of room under the fly to keep your gear out of the weather. I used it for camping on a beach on a kayaking trip and sleeping in the jungle. It held up well, kept the rain and the bugs out. Its the best tent I have ever used. The only downfall the footprint isn't included with the tent.

Fine
By LeahVerified Reviewer from New York on 9/9/2007
Pros:
Comfortable, Kept dry in POURING rain
Cons:
Difficult To Setup, Door too small w fly on, Heavy, Poor Fly Design
Best Uses:
Car Camping, Hiking
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It took awhile to learn how to set up the poles properly. Once you are used to it, it is fine. Needs additional storage pockets inside. Current ones are tiny. The small doorway with the fly on was a drag -- hard to get in and out. However, can 't say enough how well it kept us dry in the pouring rain for two days!

Great Tent. Perfect size for two, easy set up and packs down small. Downside is that there is only one entrance, but other than that it is perfect

Although I haven't taken the tent backpacking yet, I have used it for a festival and some camping. I found the tent to be very comfortable. It stayed dry even in a hard steady rain and the very little condensation was found on the walls in the morning. The vestibule created by the rain fly was perfect for a cooler and shoes. I know everyone else complained about the height of the tent but I found this to be a pro. It makes the tent feel more spacious, which in turn makes the tent feel more comfortable. I suppose I haven’t been backpacking with it yet to understand the weight concern but until then I appreciate the tall ceiling and steep walls. I am very pleased with my purchase.

This tent is inexpensive, lightweight, sets up easily, seems very sturdy and has a waterproof floor. The floor is good sized. The tent is taller than others of the same floor size. They could have made it smaller and saved a little more weight.

Out with this tent 3 times since purchase. No big complaints about it to tell. Great size for two people. Easy up and down. Does take up a bit of pack space. Maybe I have carried a solo tent for so long just not used to it yet.
