Without using the guy lines, the tent is sized for 1.5 people, or very comfortable for 1 with gear inside the tent. Two taller people would need to use guy lines and keep all gear in the vestibules. Otherwise, it's a great tent--easily assembled, even in the dark on the first try!
I did not buy this tent to use for 2 people, but for solo trips, as an alternative to cramped bivys, etc...I think this is the perfect ONE person tent. Love the large vestibules.
I am a an avid backpacker and adventurer who travels the globe and often times deals with a variety of extreme climates. This is by far the most efficient and dependable tent I have ever owned in my 25 years of adventuring. The ease of set up and break down can be literally done in your sleep or in a rush if need be. I highly recommend this tent to anyone who expects to get the best accomodations for the money.
I really like this tent - lightweight, seems durable, and it kept me dry when we got stuck in a rainstorm on its first outing. Only drawback is the size. I can't see two people sleeping in this tent without being on top of each other, it is not very big.
I bought this but... returned it.
I went for the weight but I realized that 40X50X86 is a bit tight for me. Great if I was alone or loved the one I was next to, but.... I'd be sholuder to shoulder and against the tent on all sides with two.
Great: vestibule, head height, pole design and a quick setup.
