Great Scouting Tent. Learn to work the fly for venting and condensation is not an issue
I am both comfort driven and a minimalist and this tent offers it all!!! I got this tent for it's weight and it's mesh roof for the views. I got so much more out of it. It is super easy to set up and take down, and the space inside and outside the tent (vestibule area) can't be beat. I have a big pack and my friend (5'10" 200lb male) and I fit very comfortably both awake and asleep. We used it on a beach on the Saco River as well as in the woods. We were very happy with the dual entrances and the quiet zippers. The weather was great, but a little damp, and we slept with the rainfly half pulled back-dry in the AM. It was also a breeze to clean and dry when I got it home. I can't believe how light it is for what it offers you out on the trails! I recently got it after using a pretty roomy (and HEAVY) dome tent and was worried I'd miss the space, but honestly, it felt like I had more space than before. I love this tent and can't wait to use it again and again! I'd recommend it to anyone looking to buy a 2 peson tent.
Hubba Hubba!!!!!!
This tent survived a night in an intense summer storm on an exposed ridge along the AT. LOVE this tent![...] in MA's review is right on the money - this tent is absolutely perfect except for the flimsy poles. My wife and I met a few AT through-hikers who also raved and raved about the tent's quality and superiority.Don't waste your time with anything else - just buy this one and enjoy years of amazing outings.
This tent has backpacked, boated, beached, and done much of the Rockies. Strong, comfortable, quick to set up and a delight!

Recently upgraded an older 2-man tent with the Hubba Hubba. 1st outing with it was a 18 mile segment hike along the AT in CT. Weather was mixed all weekend, which was a great test of the tent.
Tent performed flawlessly in the rain. Mesh body ventilates well. Vestibules plenty large enough to stow pack & boots out of the rain. Finally have a tent that doesn't drip water all over the entrance when opening the fly. Concern about condensation on the inside of the fly never materialized.
Tent is a breeze to set up. Single pole system seems a bit complex, but is really easy to sort out. Pole frame holds the end and side walls nearly vertical making lots of interior room for a sub 5 lb tent. I'm 5'10" and my tent-mate is about the same size and we both felt like we had plenty of room.
I was a bit concerned about lateral stability where the pole frame is all along the longitudinal axis of the tent, but the tent is surprisingly rigid laterally - even without the fly on. Attach the fly and stake it out and this tent doesn't budge.
Lots of little extras you don't notice in the store. Double zipper on the fly doors with velcro tabs on the storm flap. Lots of loops inside the tent for hanging gear or stringing a gear hammock. Pockets at both ends to keep a flashlight or other small items close at hand.
Setup options include body only, body & fly, fly & footprint or fly only. One of the few tents I've seen where you can setup the fly without a footprint.
I only have 2 quibbles and they're pretty minor. I'm not a fan of the MSR aluminum needle stakes. They bend very easily and I bent one on the 1st night. I'll be replacing them with Vargo titanium stakes for the next trip. The other quibble is that the pole system is a bit bulky when folded. Where straight poles will slide nicely down the inside of the pack bag, the pole system can get hung up a bit.
Overall I'm am *really* impressed with this tent. Something I would highly recommend to backpackers looking for a comfortable, light-weight, 2-man tent. Although this design has been around for a few years now, it's still one of the best on the market today.
