I bought this tent for a backpacking trip across panama. It is super light for the money and has a lot of ventilation which was appealing for the rain forest. I ended up using this all the time in New England even in late fall / early spring. It even saw some crazy rain storms in the rain forest and stayed perfectly dry. My only complaint is that I wish it was a little bit wider since my girlfriend and my dog share it with me, but it is probably roomy enough for the average.

Reviews I read elsewhere were singing how great this tent was, so i bought it. That turned out to be a miserable mistake. During a light rain i started to see little water drops somehow dripping above my head and falling through the mesh screen into my tent. So I made sure my fly was centered, tighted it down with the available string included, and still i ended up with random drops in my face all night in a cold moderate rain. Misery knows no such experience. The tarp is going over my tent instead of under it nexttime...

Good lightweight, all-around tent
By CranboVerified Purchaser from Standish, ME on 6/19/2007
Pros:
Comfortable, Easy to set up, Lightweight
Best Uses:
Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is a great all-around tent, I have taken it both backpacking in the 100-Mile Wilderness and car camping. It's lightweight enough to be a roomy solo tent, and only two poles means it goes up fast. Entry & exit can be a little awkward, but then again I'm 6' 2".
