Great tent for solo thru-hikers! Light, significantly lighter than MSR Hubba. Sets up fast and in a small footprint area. Easy to pack in three pieces (tent with compression sack, poles in bag, stakes in bag). Good value.
The downsides are that, with a single wall, condensation builds up easily on the inside. The tight quarters take some getting used to and, at 5'-10", my head and feet touch the ends. Barely enough head room to sit up. And very little can come inside with you: I usually strapped my pack to a nearby tree with the rain cover on.
But if your priority is weight and packing small, the Solo 12 does that very, very well.

I purchased this tent for a hiking trip in the White's this fall. I wanted to try out a new lightweight tent. Yuck! It did not go well. Granted it was raining very hard, but the tent leaked in 3 or 4 places, the worst being right over my face so I was being dripped on all night. Because the tent is so small I could not even move out from under the leak. It says it is good for hikers to 6 feet, but I would say 5'10 would be the max. I am 5'11 and I did not have nearly enough room.
I was very happy that I was able to return this tent. I think it would be great for people in the South West, or in drier climates, it does vent well.
