Hi,
first of all this backpack isn't designed to carry all your equipment on hiking trip. It's not strong, or big enough. Other guys who placed review didn't probably realize what this backpack is made for. I use it on hiking trips as additional backpack (just to carry camera, bottle of water or windstopper) while I leave my main backpack on campsite. This backpack folds into it’s front pocket (that’s what I love the most about it) so it fits practically everywhere and it weights almost nothing. I think it’s great.

A great little bag that can hold a good amount of gear and if you are really wanted to take a nap...pack it up and use it as a pillow! Seriously, this little bag is perfect for a minimalist hiker/camper or for everyday use. I liked mine so much I bought another for my lady and she loves it.

I bought this to use as a daypack while on a backpack trailmaintenance trip. By the end of the week, all of the straps were ripping/ripped out. While it has a large volume, don't put more than 2-3 lbs in it, and make sure you have padding (sitpad) against your back.

Eastern Mountain Sports Response:Clearly the straps on this pack should not be ripping out without some unusual circumstance unfolding. Our first priority is your complete satisfaction with your Eastern Mountain Sports® purchase.

I took the product on a week long trip. I used it multiple times as a day bag and it didnt impress me much. It wasnt that comfortable, and it ripped only 3 days into the trip. The seems started coming undone and the product completely failed. It was a disaster!

Eastern Mountain Sports Response:That's unacceptable! Thanks for the feedback and we're sorry to hear the pack self destructed.
