The build quality of this pack seems decent. There are a lot of usefull pockets internally. Hopefully it will last 10+ years like my previous North Face pack. With the new airline baggage rules, this makes a good "personal item" second carry-on bag. It will hold a laptop in a padded sleeve. It is great for the beach also. A good value at [$]

I use this for College and it works really well. I do wish that the main compartment was slightly larger but surprisingly, the secondary pocket makes up for it. I can fit about seven books in that pocket alone which is pretty impressive. It also has a really convenient pocket for my cell phone and the water bottle pockets are the right size and depth. This bag is also just so much cooler than other North Face bags which tend to be blase and black. I got it in tan and it has a lot of character. My only serious gripe is that it has started to fray a bit but I know that North Face will take care of it if it gets worse so I'm not concerned.

I use the pack for short trips, it easily holds the clothes I need plus my laptop. Excellent design and of course the usual North Face quality. The two water bottle pockets are a plus.

I use this bag for transporting my notebooks and laptop to and from class everyday. It holds everything comfortably, but it may not be the bag to choose if you want something for travel, or to bring a lot of books to class. I would say the maximum number of textbooks it can hold would be about three, as long as you don't plan to bring a laptop too. It is more of a college backpack than one for highschool or middleschool. Other than that, it is the best bag I have ever owned, and I would definitely recommend it.

Bought this backpack for a trip to Mexico. It has proven to be very durable and rugged thus far. I see no reason why it will not continue to be in the future. I thought I put a lot of belongings in the pack, but I still had room for plenty more. There's no doubt that I could store enough in the pack for a weekend trip (and I don't pack light). This pack is one of the coolest looking I have ever seen. I absolutely love it.
