The medium base camp is used for traveling for more than 3-4 days. Although it is much larger than a carry-on for airplanes, the space is plentiful to carry gear for a 2-day trip rafting, climbing, and camping.

I have not road-tested this duffel yet, but plan to travel with it to India next month--as my sole piece of luggage. It fits all my belongings for a two-month trip quite well, and there's even room to spare, which will be great for anything I buy while traveling. It seems sturdy and incredibly well made, and I like the shiny black material. It looks bad[*].
Vary happy with the duffel bag

Seems like a good quality bag, but I would prefer that the backpack straps were removable. A couple of small outside pockets would be nice, too.
