These are great poles and they are light. They adjust easily and do not slip.

The only negative is that they seem "twangy" If you put it down hard the hole pole vibrates. I have used some metal poles in the past and I do not recall them doing this.

However when I use them normally they are fine.

So overall a great choice.

These poles rock! Replaced another brand with twist locks that slipped, bent, collapsed, baskets fell off and over all just fell apart. These have performed perfect so far in non snow conditions (puchased a couple of weeks ago so haven't had the opportunity to use them in the snow yet). Can make all adjustments with my heavy mitts on and have no reason to think these poles would let me down in winter conditions. Love the flicklock system and are extremely strong. Use these when hiking the Adirondack High Peaks and wouldn't go hiking anywhere without them.

A lightweight and very strong carbon fiber pole that is easily adjusted with thick ski gloves on. The poles have length markers for quick and even adjustments and never collapsed once. The handle is very comfortable and I do like having grips on the pole itself for ascending steep hills. Easy to clean and changing from a standard basket to a powder basket was easy. I have only had the opportunity to use them skiing and snowshoeing in Colorado powder. I love these poles!
