No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Stay away. The bottom locking mechanism is glued to the top shaft. When the glu give out the bottom shaft is no longer attached. They were returned and Im going with the style of BD that does not have the bottom snapping lick...the rigidity of the elliptical pole cant be beat.
