Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I haven't yet subjected this tide watch to rough treatment, but i commend the designers for making a readable, friendly GUI tide watch. the ability to check current and future tides is exactly what i need as an ocean kayaker. Setup took about an hour, but a valuable feature is the ability to plus or minus the pre-programmed tides to fine tune your local waters. This is not a toy watch. They have a reliable web site that has complete operating manuals if you lose yours.
