This watch is an all-around very versatile watch!! The numbers are very visible, the strap is comfortable, the heart rate is fairly accurate. I am very pleased with my purchase! The only con about this watch is that I wish that it had a GPS system attached to it but other than that - 4.5 stars!
I use this watch for short runs, long runs and everything in between! Great work out companion. The monitor is not to bulky which is great and neither is the watch.
I use it for cycling and also on my runs. It was a good buy and not too expensive compared to other models. Its a little bulky for everyday wear.

This is absolutely amazing! I have wanted to get a heart rate monitor for a really long time and finally took the plunge. Everyone told me that Polar brand was the best, but I loved that this actually looked like a normal watch. I have had a great classic watch for a long time, but it is stainless steel and gets really gross when I work out, so I was in the market for a workout watch as well. The strap is so comfortable that I sometimes wear the monitor just for fun...to class, to work, it is great! and all the settings are fantastic! I am in love!!!!!!!!
oh and a plus, it does work under water....

so far, this has been a great watch. i am 5'4" and have a small frame - this is the first monitor strap brand that could be sized down to fit me comfortably. The watch is not too bulky and can be worn causally as well as for working out and heart monitoring.
What a difference this has made in my workouts. No more telling myself I'm working hard when I m not. The strap is so comfortable I can forget that it's on, from pool to bike to run this monitor is great and a good price.
This heart rate monitor is exactly what I wanted and has some nice features that I use when working out, jogging, etc. When lookiing around for an HRM, I also wanted a watch rather than wearing something separately, the timer, chrono, alarms for HRM and zones, and the Review of avg hr, min/max hr, calories burned, etc are very helpful to see where I'm at with things.
I travel from time to time and this would be the watch that I'd bring because I know it would hold up well.

This heart rate monitor is easy to use, tracks a wide range of information that will help you understand your work outs and the benefit you get from them. This monitor also will help you understand where you need to increase or make changes to your work out routine in order to accomplish your over all fitness goals. I found the monitor to be the most helpful by giving me an understanding of why I plateau with my work outs and also guidlines to help me move beyond that, setting my goals and accomplishments even higher. This monitor would be helpful to any one at any fitness level because you program the monitor to your specific heart rate and your weight, thus allowing the information you get to be just for you - not an average other people your age, etc. The literature that comes with the monitor is very thorough. One book explains the features of the monitor and how to use them. The other book explains how to use the the information that the monitor gives you. For instance, if you had never heard the term "heart rate zone" before reading the literature, you would fully understand the meaning and how to apply it to your work outs after reading this literature. All of the literature together will show you how to use the monitor and how to apply your results to your work outs and your life in order for you to accomplish your fitness goals.

Using a HR monitor used to be inconvenient when it required putting on a large watch different from my regular one as well as strapping on the chest band. Now I just keep the Timex watch on at all times and simply add the chest strap.
