I sometimes have allergic type reactions to certain metals on watch clips, so velcro is perfect for me! I love the color and style of the watch. I have 3 little kids, and I feel confident that this watch is indestructible. I use it daily and love it. I used to be an avid runner and had this watch for running as well. It takes a beating and keeps on working. Probably not the best for dressy occasions. I also don't use the strap to hold the end of the wrist band down. It's hard to pull it over the velcro, and I don't think you really need it anyway.
