I have been using goggles like this for at least 10 years. I never liked the little eye goggles for swimming. A dive mask covers up your nose and you can't nose breath. I cut out the nose piece on some small dive goggles and really liked the result.
I guess I should have patended it! Commercial models like this became available, and I am very happy with them. I had older models that lasted for years. I needed a new pair when one of the kids tossed them across the pool and they landed hard and cracked. But the pairs I have been through each took a ton of abuse.
Unless you are a competitive swimmer that needs the extra 0.0001 second the dinky low drag goggles offer, go with this style.
These are great eye protection for swimming, have good contact and don't leave you with "goggle eyes" afterwards.
